Volunteer Training and Induction Night
If you’ve ever thought about helping refugee people in a practical and meaningful way, now is the opportunity! We need volunteers to help support refugee families and individuals so they can get the best possible start in their new home. Our volunteers are a vital part of our organisation and the social support and dedication they provide is greatly appreciated by the communities they help. Responsibilities are as simple as helping with the shopping, getting around on public transport, helping people to connect with the wider Darwin sommunity and just generally being a companion. The first step to volunteering is to attend an orientation training session. To register for a training session or just to find out more about volunteering, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Rob, on 8985 3311, via email at volunteering@melaleuca.org.au or simply by dropping in to the centre in Rapid Creek Business Village. My door is always open to volunteers!Date and time of the event:
