From Monday 24th June until Saturday 13th of July, City of Darwin will run a series of free activities to keep children, young people and families entertained during the upcoming school holidays.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said the dry season was the perfect time to enjoy the free outdoor activities on offer.

“We are excited to offer a variety of fun activities for children during the school holidays and there really is something for everyone,” Mr Vatskalis said.

“There are a range of educational workshops available, including a first aid course with St John’s Ambulance, soccer ball tricks, café skills, tie-dying and writing workshops.

“Our fantastic libraries will also host a range of activities for discovery and learning, including family story time events, movie sessions and Lego Club, which promises to challenge and engage young minds.

“We have also produced the School Holiday Guide which is a handy pocket-sized resource for residents and their visitors to find out more about the events and activities on offer,” he said.

All activities are free and open to the public. Please note that registration is required for some activities.
