New Functions on the Territory Check-In App 9 August 2021 It’s now even easier for Territorians to check-in when they’re out and about. Thanks to new upgrades to the Territory Check-In app businesses can now offer an ipad or similar device as a digital doorman, allowing venues and businesses to check in patrons that do not have a smart phone or device. This new functionality is also great news for our contact tracers, who will no longer need to go through pages of paper if an exposure site is called. Now a contact list can be generated at the push of a button. The upgrade also provides new offline functionality meaning Territorians and visitors can check in digitally even where there is no internet service, with the data stored in the database as soon as the user is back in range. While restrictions have been lifted in the Territory the check-in app is mandatory for all places to collect customer and visitor details. The Chief Health Officer direction includes construction sites, education institutions, indoor and outdoor markets and places that provide sporting or physical training activities. For more information and to download the app please visit https://coronavirus.nt.gov.au/stay-safe/check-in-app Minister for Digital and Corporate Development, Paul Kirby “Territorians are already doing a great job at checking-in, with over 7,300 businesses taking up our check-in app and the latest figures showing the Territory is at over 11 million QR check-ins.” “We really need to keep up this behaviour and these new functionalities will make it even easier for all Territorians to check in.” “This is also about adding another layer of protection and making sure our contact tracers can access the right information as quickly as possible, in the event they need to.” Subscribe | Unsubscribe or manage your subscription If you are not the intended recipient of this message, any use, disclosure or copying of the message or any attachments is unauthorised.
