Grab your teddy and get ready – Darwin’s favourite fun day for the whole family is here again

Mark the calendar for Sunday 10 August from 9.00am – 12.00pm for the Annual Teddy Bears Picnic at the Darwin Cenotaph on the Esplanade it’s a free fun day like no other and this year the Darwin Festival as planned a morning with the lot!

Of course Territory FM will be hanging out with all the Big and Little Ted’s, broadcasting live from the event so make sure you come and say Hi to us on the day!

Parents, you’re used to taking pics of the kids. Well acclaimed interactive art experience I See You Like This turns the camera around and invites children to art direct a creative portrait directly on your face! Running all morning from 9am-12pm, this is an interactive experience for the whole family you won’t want to miss. Check the video below for a sneak preview!

 

 

Play your favourite party games in a bubble-filled children’s disco to the backing of a blend of kid-friendly tunes. Specifically designed for all the kids (and parents) that love a boogie, this dance party will bring the energy and vibes all morning long.

Help artist Peta Goodrem decorate a hungry papier mâché frog and its dragonfly snacks in this floating installation that will grow over the morning.

As well as the stalls you know and love; tea parties, teddy bear hospital, free fruit, a live radio broadcast and of course it wouldn’t be a Teddy Bears’ Picnic without a photo and cuddle with big Ted. Plus a huge cast of roving performers, face painting and all your favourite artistic activities.

Kick back on the lawn, picnic on treats from our food vendors, check out local stalls or get involved in amazing artistic adventures.
