The Northern Territory Volunteer of the Year Awards recognise the outstanding contribution of the Northern Territory volunteers, volunteer involving organisations and volunteer managers at work in our community.
Volunteering is time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain. These prestigious Awards promote the important contribution of volunteering to the social, cultural, economic and environmental well-being of the Northern Territory, paying tribute to those who inspire and promote the spirit of volunteerism through exemplary endeavours.
The Awards, established in 2014, are an initiative of Volunteering SA&NT. Nominations are assessed by an independent Judging Panel chaired by Volunteering NT.

Volunteer of the Year Award
Celebrates people whose volunteering has made a remarkable difference for people, a community, group, organisation or cause in the NT.
Youth Volunteer of the Year Award
Recognises the enthusiasm, initiative and leadership of young people whose volunteering has made a remarkable difference for people, a community, group, organisation or cause in the NT.
Community Volunteer Organisation/Team of the Year Award
Celebrates the commitment, impact and importance of clubs / teams / units / organisations that have provided important local services, led positive change, or supported social and community life in the NT.
This award is open to organisations of any size.
The TFM Grassroots Group of the Year Award
Celebrates people whose volunteering has made a remarkable difference for people, a community, group, organisation or cause in the NT.
This award is open to groups that are entirely volunteer led and operated, with a turnover of less than $50,000 or less a year.
