Darwin Festival 2026 is in full swing!

Darwin’s biggest celebration of arts, culture and entertainment is now well and truly underway – check out the highlight reel below from the first weekend!

Running from 5–23 August, the Festival transforms the city into a vibrant hub of live music, theatre, comedy, dance, visual arts, family entertainment and incredible food, with events taking place across Darwin and at the iconic Festival Park in the CBD.

Whether you’re planning a night out with friends, looking for family-friendly activities or keen to discover something new, there’s an event to suit every taste. Festival Park once again serves as the heart of the action, featuring live entertainment, delicious food vendors, bars and a buzzing atmosphere throughout the Festival.

This year’s program showcases an exciting mix of local, national and international performers, celebrating the creativity, diversity and unique spirit of the Top End. Alongside ticketed performances, there are also plenty of free events and experiences for everyone to enjoy.

If you’re heading into the city, be sure to allow a little extra time for parking and transport, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings when the Festival is at its busiest.

Darwin Festival is one of the highlights of the Territory’s Dry Season calendar and a fantastic opportunity to support local artists, businesses and the broader community while enjoying everything that makes Darwin such a special place.
