Cuff and Link turn 44!

Cuff and Link have turned forty-four years old under the care of Sylvester Stallone.
They were once just tiny turtles living in a fishbowl in the movie, Rocky. Now these two are full-grown and long living actors who enjoy their days with one of the world’s most iconic film stars.
The two movie star turtles were originally adopted by Sylvester Stallone after the filming of Rocky was over.
The amphibious pair had been his turtles in the movie as well, so this is one of those instances when life on the screen had a chance to become real life as well.
In the movie, Rocky Balboa would go to the J&M Tropical Fish pet store to get food and other items for his two pet turtles, Cuff and Link. It was there that a budding romance with Adrian Pennino, who was working at the shop, would begin.
The turtles gave him an excuse to visit and ended up being a way for the two to bond. Eventually, their love would grow into something real and would move beyond the pet shop – all thanks to the two aquatic pets that helped to open the door to the romance.
The couple’s love, and the movie, would become iconic.
While sometimes people forget about the two slow-moving animal actors who helped out, not all of us have. In fact, they might be some of our favorite actors from the movie.
The two made a comeback in the movie Creed II in 2018.
