Jimmy Rees, Not That Kind of Viral | 14 October
One of Australia’s favourite entertainers, Jimmy Rees, returns to the stage in 2023 with his 12-date, Australia-wide Not That Kinda Viral Tour.
The Not That Kinda Viral tour follows on from Jimmy’s hugely successful 2022 Meanwhile in Australia tour. What started out as five shows became 35 sold-out shows with many selling out the day they went on sale, making it one of the most successful comedy tours of the year!
Beginning his career as the legendary Jimmy Giggle he is more recently known for his online content during the COVID years which resonated around the world with hundreds of millions of views, he WAS a viral sensation in the truest sense (…not that kinda viral) with his quick-witted comedy sketches across his social media platforms as he grew his audience from adoring kids to like-minded adults.
With his affable charm and quick wit, Jimmy Rees’s Not That Kinda Viral Tour – is a show full of laughs, relatability and fun!
Anh Do, The Happiest Refugee Live | 17 October
Anh Do’s bestselling book The Happiest Refugee has made readers laugh and cry, and was described by Russell Crowe as ‘the most surprising and inspiring read I have had in years’.
Anh’s stage show takes it a step further, combining stand-up comedy with real-life stories, photos and filmed pieces to retell his amazing story.
When one of Australia’s most talented comedians delves deep into his own life’s joys and sorrows, the result is an unforgettable night at the theatre that leaves an audience uplifted and quite simply experiencing… happiness.
Victoria State Ballet, The Little Mermaid | 20 October
See one of the world’s best-loved fairy tales brought to life on stage in a superb production by the Victorian State Ballet.
The Little Mermaid follows the narrative based predominately on the story by Hans Christian Andersen. This widely known and much-loved story brings to life an underwater world inhabited by myriad sea folk and lively characters. The choreography by Michelle Cassar de Sierra is a stunning display of classical ballet with elements of physical theatre that magically tell the tale.
A must see performance for the whole family, with magnificent costumes full of vibrant colour, sets and props accentuating the beauty and splendour of this magical place, together with the outstanding skill, artistry and technique of the artists of the Victorian State Ballet.

Brad Cox | 11 November
Australian country singer Brad Cox is taking his Acres tour on the road again, and this time he’ll be in Darwin in November, a first for him.
His Acre’s metro tour has played to packed houses at the Tivoli, Anita’s Theatre and Northcote and the Acres “Regional tour” will see Cox incorporate pieces from his “Yarns & Yodels” shows, which are acoustic and intimate gigs packed with storytelling, fan favourites new and old.
In a statement Brad said, “The ‘Acres’ album tour was such a success, and everyone was sad to see the end of it. So we have decided to take it to the regions, and for the first time, New Zealand. Darwin friends, you have been screaming at me for years and we’ve finally got it done. All I can say is the Barra better be on the bite. Plus, we have a couple of solo theatre shows to kick it off. What a mixed bag.”
