MUFF committee chairman Wilko Van Syl said they didn’t feel they could go ahead with the event in a professional manner this year.
“The event is made up of volunteers and we had some changes to the composition of the committee, people put their hands up and people put hands down after a while,” he said.
“We had some late changes and people pulled out and their was a lack of skill set for some of the people involved.
“Right now we’ve had some more volunteers put hands up for various positions, we have a working committee now but we got so far behind the eight ball we couldn’t really go ahead professionally … for an event that’s getting larger and larger, it’s a bit of a mission.”
