Golf is back!

TERRITORY golfers will be back out on the course tomorrow, as restrictions on non-contact outdoor sports are lifted.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner is expected to announce later today that non-contact outdoor sports where physical distancing (1.5 metres) can be maintained can return from noon Friday.

That means Territorians can hit the golf courses again and would include other sports like tennis too.

The full details on the plan will be released later today, including other sporting activities.

You can fish with friends again from Friday.

Fishing is considered an outdoor activity where physical distancing can be maintained.

From noon Friday, people will be able to go fishing with people not from their household, so long as physically distancing (1.5 metres) can be maintained.

So you can go fishing with your mate in a tinny, or a larger group on larger boats, where you can maintain physical distancing.

So Territorians have plenty of options to enjoy their weekend: golf, pools, playgrounds, parks, swimming, camping.
