CYCLONE JASPER HEADED TO THE NT?

Written by on 11/12/2023

The Bureau of Meteorology’s seven-day forecast shows Cyclone Jasper potentially tracking a stormy pathway across the Top End to Darwin.

Which means we could be in for some storms and wet weather from Friday, with a moderate chance of a cyclone over the weekend.

According to the BOM forecast map, Cyclone Jasper will make landfall in Queensland as a category two storm on Wednesday.

Territorians have a 25-30% chance of getting a front-row seat or in the very least some welcome rainfall.

It’s not a bad reminder to get your emergency kit ready and make sure you have a plan in place. Take a look around at what you might need to get for your home, your family, the kids and your pets.
