Professor Jenny Davis
Professor Jenny Davis is a Co-Director of the Research Institute for Environment & Livelihoods and the Assistant Dean of Research and Innovation in the College of Engineering, IT & Environment. Jenny is an environmental scientist who specialises in freshwater ecology. She is interested in answering the fundamental question of how much water does the environment need? Her current research focuses on Australian rivers and wetlands, especially groundwater-dependent water bodies in arid, semi-arid and wet/dry tropical regions. She is interested in determining the processes that support the persistence of aquatic refugia and biodiversity hot spots and strengthening community support for science through citizen science projects.
