Engelo is our new guy!

He was born on one of the most beautiful islands in Indonesia, Flores, a place rich in culture, tradition, and natural beauty. He completed his bachelor’s degree in English education at a university in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2014. After graduating, he began his teaching career as a classroom teacher at Singapore Indonesian School in Jakarta. During several years there, he taught students in Grades 1, 2, 3, and 6, delivering lessons in English, Mathematics, Science, and Sports.

In 2017, he migrated to Australia to gain international experience. He worked in various locations, including Sydney, New South Wales; Bairnsdale and Lake Entrance in Victoria; and Nhulunbuy in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. These experiences broadened his understanding of multicultural communities and strengthened his adaptability. In 2020, he returned to Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continued teaching in Bali for three years.

In 2023, he moved back to Australia, settling in Darwin to pursue a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. In daily life, he works as an Indonesian language teacher for primary school students and tutoring Indonesian for adults’ course.

Now, in his spare time, he is striving to become a radio broadcaster with a deeper purpose: to introduce Indonesia to the world, sharing the richness of its culture, traditions, and the spirit of its people with every listener who tunes in. Through his voice, he hopes to paint vivid pictures of Indonesia’s diversity—its languages, music, heritage, and values—so that even those far away can feel connected to its soul. For him, broadcasting is more than a hobby; it is a meaningful way to build bridges between nations, turning the airwaves into a path where understanding, pride, and cultural appreciation can travel freely to audiences everywhere.
